Week 11
These weeks are going by a little too fast for my liking. I'm starting to feel like I just don't have enough hours in my day. A lot of my week was dedicated to just trying to get all of my ducks in a row. With the semester coming to a close, I'm definitely feeling the pressure getting turned up. I had some meetings for my Community Coordinator role, our Monday Meeting, some front desk shifts, and on Saturday Morning I volunteered for Matthew 25 Ministries Hunger 5k with some of the other Ambassadors.

As far as classes go... Oh boy. Lots and lots of studying has been taking place. This upcoming week I have three different exams to be taken care of. I'm feeling pretty lucky because I have found a really great group of people to study with and they really help me understand the information in a way that makes sense to me. That is definitely a pretty big change from last year for me. I was way too shy before this year to reach out to the other people in my classes and make those connections.

Now time for a secret. For as long as I can remember, I have complained to other people about times when I have to wake up to do something in an effort to be relatable. The truth is, I really like waking up early and going out. I like when there is no one else on the roads, I like feeling proactive about the day, and I love the afternoon nap I get to take afterwards. The 5k let me do just that. We were assigned to work at the water station at the halfway point of the race and it was really great. We got to cheer on everyone as they ran by and they all looked so happy to be out there running for the cause. I think everyone's extremities may have been numb by the end of the morning, but that was part of the fun.
