Duha Lutfieh

Out of all of the Ambassadors, I think Duha is the first one that I got to really know. During the summer when we were training as SOLs we were assigned as a team to talk to Tanya from Career Services. Right away I felt comfortable because I could see how kind and caring she was. It usually takes me a little bit to warm up to people, so I was amazed at how quickly she was treating me like an old friend. I really appreciate that because I think it set the SOL position off on a really good foot for me.

I think that every single Ambassador will say in their blog post about Duha that her defining characteristic is her kindness. It is easy to be happy and caring when you're having a good day, but not so much when you're having an off day. Even on her worst day Duha manages to shrug it off for the sake of everyone around her and only showcase positivity and all around good energy. That energy manages to radiate out to the rest of the group and lift us all up.

Duha also makes it a point to greet everyone she sees and make them feel important by asking how they are or about how their day goes. I see how people light up when she talks to them and it is amazing.
