Week 1

Right back to square one, kind of. In the past, a new semester has felt like an entirely new school year because all of the class and professor changes felt so big. This semester I have three different professors that I have had in past semesters and two of my classes are just continuations of last semester's classes, so there haven't been too many adjustments to make. Because of all of this, I'm feeling pretty confident about the next couple of months. I even had a soft transition into my Ambassador duties last week by giving a tour last week on Friday.

The SOL Information Session I worked on Thursday was definitely my favorite event of the week. Because applications are due soon I wasn't expecting many people to turn up, but there was actually a fair turnout. It was cool because I recognized a lot of the faces from just passing people on campus, but had never actually met them or been able to put a name to the face. I'm excited to see some new faces in the program and see what kind of changes they make for the orientation season that will be coming up soon!

The High School Career Center Visit I worked Friday morning was kind of a wild ride. I had to arrive a little bit late that day and definitely wasn't expecting the crowd that was in Muntz when I got there. I heard that there was about 300-400 students from a few different high schools visiting. It almost seemed like there was more high school students than college students that day. It was a very interesting experience trying to lead that many people down the hallways...
