Josh King
Josh is a really, really strong ambassador. The first day we met at SOL orientations I knew that he would be be a fantastic team member. He is very personable. Because of this, he is super easy to talk to and get along with it. That is a really important trait to have when you are constantly getting to know new students and make them feel comfortable. He is naturally able to make all of our guests feel relaxed and like they are with a friend. It is definitely one of his traits that I am trying to pick up for myself!
Another thing that he knocks out of the park is his tours. I think it's a fair statement to say that Josh easily gives the best tours out of all of us. He flawlessly incorporates stories into all of his stops while also managing to fill up any awkward gaps with relevant and important information about the campus. I gave one tour with Josh over the Summer and his skills manage to rub off on you while you're with him. The tour I gave with him was without a doubt my own personal best. I think because he is so natural while relaying all of the information that it put his fellow SOLs at ease. It definitely loosened me up on the tour and made the whole thing easier!
And oh boy does he have energy! Josh is able to read a situation well and decipher exactly what kind of energy he needs to bring to it. I've witnessed this more as I've been able to work the last few IM Flag Football sessions with him. He is able to help set up, play the entire time, and still manages to remain up beat and get everything done and put away once the game is over.
